Frames Caffe - Dataran C180 Cheras

This time we get the opportunity to try out Frames Caffe - Dataran C180 Cheras. No baby this time so there will not be any baby friendly test this time.

The interior felt very cozy. Nice ambiance with warmth lighting.

The price for the Tiramisu cake was a bit on the high side. Well, we are comparing it to Secret Recipe's 3pm to 6pm promotion.

The price. Well, you can judge by yourself. For us definitely is on the high side. Especially when we came from the generation where we usually hang out at "mamak stalls" with a cup of "teh tarik" and a piece or two "roti canai" and 5 cups of "ais kosong" and sat for hours at the cost of not more than RM5.00. 

Overall, It is a nice place to hang out and enjoy good coffees.

The Faith Of Chef Tay Noodle House - Dataran C180

Heard a sad news that Chef Tay Noodle House, Dataran C180 might be closing down this end of September 2016.

For the past couple of years, Chef Tay has been a place where we normally have our lunch with our little baby. We find the place spacious and cold best suited for our little CEO. But somehow, for some reasons we are not sure of, they decided to close it down. 

They had a good run and was one of the longest to stay in the game. One of the pioneer when Dataran C180 was still a cowboy town with hardly any other eateries. 

These couple of years with Chef Tay has been a good dining experience with friendly staff, affordable and healthy food, comfortable, spacious and cold environment and what not, our baby loves the place very much as you can see her smiling and playing with some of the staff there. And she loves the food there as well.

We hope for the best and who know, thing might change and the next time we visit them again, we will be greeted with a good new that Chey Tay will continue to stay on, and offer even better and more variety of food choices.

Well, that is what we hope. For the best. 

Thanks Chef Tay Dataran C180 for providing us a place where we can eat comfortably with our little family. Even though we assume that things might not work according to what you have planned. But you shook it off well and put on a happy and hopeful face to serve us with the best.

We will surely miss you.....

The big question is, is it worth it to spend the time and hassle to struggle through the traffic and crowd for the Popular Book Fair 2016?

A visit to the Popular Book fair at Viva Home Exhibition Center. Many will think, nah, it's just a trick and gimmick to draw crowds and probably only a few crappy items that are not that popular are going for RM5. Well, not really. A quick visit there confirmed that 80% of the books are RM5. And part of the other 20% is even below RM5.

There is a mass variety of books from biography, cook book, business, a large number of kids and children's book and many others, you name it.
