Not our usual Cheap & Cheerful lunch here at Tea Code Cafe Dataran C180

3rd March 2017 - Tea Code Cafe, Dataran C180 Balakong Cheras.

Known for its cozy and modern "hipster" style set up with all sorts of nice decor placed in every nook and corner they can find.

With its tight space and with full of breakable items, we conclude that Tea Code Cafe Dataran C180 is not a baby friendly place. So parents, unless you want to spend most of your time yelling at your baby "noooo" "this cannot touch" "that cannot touch" "sit down" "careful" "shhh no shouting" "stop banging the spoon on the plate", might consider some where else that is more baby friendly here.

Food wise was good and tasty as we would have expected. Here is what we ordered.

1) Mushroom Grilled Chicken

The Mushroom Grilled Chicken was nice especially the mashed potatoes.

One thing about the Carbonara is that they serve it with a raw egg. Unfortunately we don't fancy it and end up leaving it there.

Price, for us is on the high side. Especially when we are constantly looking for economical and affordable meals for our daily lunch.

Overall, the place is nice and cozy. Staff are quite friendly. Fairly quiet until the bartender begin to use the shaker behind the counter. We had to pause for a while while we were ordering our food cause I cant hear what the cashier was saying. Oh and ya, did I mention, you will need to order and pay first before you will be served. No big deal. We did not need to wait too long for the food. But its not extremely quick either. Just took a few photos with my phone and chit chat a little and comes the food. Not sure will it be the same if the place is crowded.

Will definitely come back once is a while.

An Affordable Lunch At DST Dataran C180 (non-halal)

23 Feb 2017 - More choices of new dishes to choose at DST Cheras Dataran C180. 

Here is what we ordered.....

- Sizzling Beancurd

- Kangkung Belacan

- Lemon Chicken

On other visit, we also ordered the Salted Egg Pork Ribs which is a bit too meaty and hard for me. Taste was good tho. And we also ordered the Indonesia Curry Chicken. The curry was very nice and tasty. One complaint about it was that they did not do a good job on chopping the chicken. Too small and bones are shattered. Find it often getting stuck in between my teeth.

Oh and now for those who needs an affordable meals as much as we do, DST now also offers a single person meal. A variety choices from Fish Fillet, Pork, Chicken and Squid. Cooking style from Asam, Nyonya, Kam Heong, Ginger & Onions, Kung Po and others. And and it will aslo include a cup of , hot or cold Chinese tea and a soup of the day.
